In remembrance of Queen Elizabeth II's long reign and noble service, Huddersfield Art Society is pleased to continue to display the portraits created in honour of her Platinum Jubilee. The paintings are also on display at our Annual Exhibition in the Piazza, Huddersfield until October 1st 2022

Note: Keith Harris felt that his painting of Queen Elizabeth 1st and 2nd warranted some explanation :- "the pose i adopted from the 1954 “wattle" portrait of the Queen II by William Dargie, i think done to commemorate her visit to Australia. The dress I have adapted from one of the famous miniatures the “Rainbow Portrait“ of Queen Elizabeth I, circa 1600-02, attributed to Marcus Gheeraerts the Younger.", Keith.
