About The Group
The abstract group celebrates the wide range of styles and preferences of its membership. We are a friendly, inclusive group who love to experiment, share and learn together about the wide and varied genre of abstract art.
We have a flexible programme led by the leader and other group members, with topics suggested by members of the group, designed to support skills and techniques, explore different media, learn about different styles of abstraction and to gain further inspiration seeing and hearing about the different responses to a topic by members of the group. Above all, we have fun creating and experimenting together!
The monthly meetings often combine a bit of 'homework' where members do some further research around the topic, building up their own ideas towards their response, and group chats about what they have discovered and developed.

Once a month throughout the year, Friday morning 10 - 12.30am (specific dates at the top of this screen)
Cost
The Charge is £5.00 per session to cover the cost of the room and refreshments. The meetings are essentially for members of the society only, but visitors are welcome to try a session if they would like to see if the abstract group is for them. Just contact the leader below to arrange a date!
