Members of the Portrait Group are taking it in turns to suggest topics to keep our hand in during this period when we can't enjoy our weekly meetings with a model to observe.
List of challenges so far:
2021
16. Self Portrait from a reflection in a metal object

I am so inspired by this wonderful portrait by Swiss artist Mario Leimbacher (another member of the Facebook group Self Portrait Sundays) that I have asked his permission to use it and to challenge you to make a portrait of yourself from your reflection in a metal object.
Mario calls this a teapot, but I'm sure a kettle, coffee pot or even a saucepan would work equally well, Something with a curved surface will produce the distortion and foreshortening required to make this a real challenge!!
Good Luck with this one, please send me your results for the website or post your work on the Portrait Group Facebook page.
