In The Studio 

Sometimes,  artists wish they could have a dedicated 'studio' space; some of us feel embarrassed calling our 'art corner' a 'studio', some of us just have an 'art cupboard' - perceptions of what a 'studio' is can be very limited, and that only 'proper artists' have a 'studio'. Most of our society members are not professional artists and yet produce amazing work and have huge creative energy. So, on behalf of our members, I want to reclaim and redefine the word 'studio' to mean 'our creative space', which may be a shed, a former bedroom, under the stairs, the kitchen table, outside in the open air! This is our studio where we set aside time to create, to imagine, to be inspired.

In this blog we share some of our stories; our inspiration, our painting process and passion, our creative journey, and our reflections on art. We invite you into our studios and share some of our painting secrets with you!
